1990

Almar, a family-run business, and the first manufacturing plant are created.

1992

The number of employees reaches 30. The company sells up to 12 tonnes of salmon every week.

1994

Almar starts to import Norwegian salmon on a large scale as the first company in Poland and launches a completely professional production of smoked salmon.

1998

Almar opens a modern manufacturing plant in Kartuzy, satisfying the strict standards of the HACCP system.

1999

All varieties of salmon are processed in Almar’s manufacturing facilities. The company spends over 7,150 hours on product-tasting events.

2000

The company wins many prestigious awards at fairs.

2001

Almar strengthens its market position by trading with all major retail groups: Auchan, Billa, Geant, Makro Cash & Carry, Real, Tesco, Selgros.

2004

The company obtains a permit for exporting its products to the European Union and the USA.

2006

The company obtains a kosher certificate.

2011

Almar qualifies as a company complying with the International Food Safety Standard (IFS).

2013

The company obtains a BIO certificate for the processing and sale of organically farmed salmon.

2017

Almar opens its new second manufacturing plant in Gdynia.

2019

Salmon fillet smoking facilities are put into operation at the new plant.
